Seven students from my recent Lightroom Intensive 2-day workshops attended our follow-up shooting and processing session. The challenge was arriving at the shooting location at 5:30am, and all made it safely! At 6am the temperature was 80 degrees and the humidity was a drenching 80%, and the mosquitoes were served a buffet breakfast – us !!! We had a great time shooting, and then back to my studio to give everyone time to practice importing their images into Lightroom, keywording, inserting copyright notices and culminating with everyone creating a simple slideshow that was shared with the group. We had a lively ongoing Q&A session to answer Lightroom questions. It was a great learning experience for all. I strongly believe that “we haven’t learned, until we use.” The feedback from the participants was very encouraging, such as, “Learning Lightroom in a hands-on 2-day workshop was very useful, but then tying it all together by going out shooting, and then processing in Lightroom was great!”
