Instruction

One of the things I enjoy most about photography is sharing my enthusiasm and experience for the image creation process. From image capture to processing and creating the final print, we must always stay true to our photographic vision. As photographers we balance the "art" and the "craft" of photography through continual growth. Reading, studying and applying what we learn, often with the help of a mentor and instructors, keeps us fresh and motivated.

I regularly teach workshops and classes, speak at photography groups, and do one-on-one instruction for aspiring photographers. Topics include, Photoshop for Photographers, Lightroom, Self-Critiquing, Developing a Personal Style and a Vision, Creating the Ultimate Black and White Photograph, Preparing for an Exhibit, Choosing the Right Equipment, Best Practices in the Field, Making Fine Art Prints, Digital Infrared Photography, and Shooting and Processing Panoramas.
